A group of local authorities and the NFER have collaborated to produce a new online resource – the IoA website – which is now live (click here to access the site). The site provides a framework to describe the quality of a school’s provision and to highlight the all-round development of the children and young people in their care, whatever their circumstances. We hope that the index will be a vital source of material for use in the school's self-evaluation and the School Profile and will help schools to consider their contribution to meeting the requirements of Every Child Matters: Change for Children.

As this is a new initiative, we would very much appreciate feedback from schools that use the resource. We can use the information to keep improving the site in the future
